Physical Education

Head of Department: Miss Julia Broom

Physical education is a fundamental part of a student's education as it develops so many key skills. Not only do students develop their physical abilities and their understanding of health and fitness, but also their social awareness and their ability to work alongside others in a range of roles. This can lead to lifelong enjoyment of physical activity and an improvement in healthy lifestyles and well being.

Students experience a range of activities across the curriculum and are encouraged to evaluate and assess their own performance, as well as that of others in the group. They will undertake a range of roles. The skills they learn are as invaluable in the work place as they are in producing healthy physically active young people.
