Our Library is Student-Led. Students spend our Library budget and we buy any book, manga or magazine that they want!

Each year group has £1,000 to spend on whatever they’d like to read. We have 100+ Student Librarians and visiting Library dogs who like to be read to. We celebrate World Book Day, the Christmas Readathon & other festivals or special days that our Students suggest. We also host Clubs that Students decide they'd like to start, including our new Crochet Club.     

We welcome author visits and enjoy hosting annual events for Bridport Literary Festival that our Students attend for free. Ofsted said: "Pupils at Colfox enjoy reading and talk enthusiastically about books they have read. Colfox has prioritised reading”.

All Students can access hundreds of best sellers, top magazines and audio books using SORA our online reading platform, with their usual school log-in.   

Our Library opens with school at 8.15am, is very popular at break and lunch, and is also open after school for Homework Club until 5pm, from Monday to Thursday.
