Assemblies

“Assemblies at the Sir John Colfox Academy combine the team building aspects of our house system, with a year group rotation that helps provide structure and focus to the academic year. Themes are chosen to encourage pupils to reflect on their own lives and and to encourage them to learn more about the past, present and future of the wider world. Regular celebrations of achievement are held at the end of each half term, where students are recognised and rewarded for their effort, attainment, participation and attendance. Themes including British Values, Acts of Kindness and Compassion encourage students to develop their own sense of morality and spirituality. Likewise, life-skills including Communication, Resilience and Leadership are fostered throughout the year, helping prepare our young people for the challenges of the future”.
