Teaching Assistant

37 hours a week term time only

Scale 3-5 (Pay point 2 - 6) £9.18-£9.94 per hour (dependant on experience)

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated member of staff to join our hard working team of TAs and HLTAs from September 2019. This post will support a variety of learning activities both within the classroom and through intervention across year groups, although is likely to be primarily with Year 7.

Essential qualities include discretion, empathy good personal organisation and communication skills and a desire to see young people achieve their potential. Understanding of learning difficulties, knowledge of subject areas and experience of working with young people in an educational setting with be advantageous.

Applicants should have GCSE grade C or above in English, Mathematics and Science. Further study such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in learning support will be beneficial.

Receptionist – Temporary in the first instance

Grade 2 (SCP1-3) £9.00-£9.36 per hour

Job Share – 30 hours a week, term time only (ideally 8.15am-12.15pm and 2.30pm-4.30pm but we can be flexible for the right candidates)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and cheerful person to join our support team in the school office to provide high quality keyboard and clerical skills together with reception/telephone services within the school.

Ideally you will have:

¨ Previous clerical experience

¨ Keyboard skills

¨ A good telephone manner

¨ A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word would be an advantage

¨ The ability to work effectively as part of a team

¨ An enjoyment of working with young people

¨ 5 GCSE's at grade C or above including English and Maths
