Drawing on his extensive experience as a published author and educator, he shared valuable tips on how to structure arguments, express ideas effectively, and develop a personal voice in academic work.

Students described the session as both inspiring and useful, praising Paul’s approachable teaching style and his ability to make writing feel creative and accessible.

As a Royal Literary Fellow, Paul Mason works with universities and schools across the UK, supporting students to become more confident and effective writers. His visit to Colfox highlights the Academy’s commitment to developing students’ literacy and communication skills - essential foundations for success both in education and beyond.
