Brilliant School Show - Annie!

Congratulations to all our actors, musicians and the backstage crew for staging such a fantastic production of 'Annie Jr'!
The production, from 19-21 January, showcased amazing performances from students from across the school, from Year 7 to the sixth form, not forgetting our talented school band and also the backstage crew.
Adam Shelley, Headteacher of the Sir John Colfox Academy, said: “It was a fantastic production, with lots of brilliant performances from the cast, as well as our musicians and the backstage crew. It was great to see so much talent on show. Everyone enjoyed it immensely. Congratulations to everyone involved.
“I’d also like to say a huge thank you to all our staff who made such a fantastic event possible, especially Mrs Emma Holder, Head of Drama, Mrs Amanda Boniface, Drama Teacher, Mrs Alison Davies Head of Music and Mr Brendan Jackson.”

Emma Holder, Head of Drama at the Sir John Colfox Academy, said: “I was very proud of everyone involved. It was a great production. All students worked very hard during rehearsals and at home, learning lines, dance routines, the music and the songs. Fantastic work was also done by our backstage team and everyone who worked on the sets and the costumes. Everyone involved should be very proud of the hard work they put into creating such a brilliant show.”
Thank you also to all parents and carers who supported the production. Proceeds from the ticket sales will be used for new equipment for the school’s drama department. Thanks also to the Friends of Colfox for providing refreshments, all proceeds from that will benefit students.
