Last term the cast were busy rehearsing for the whole school production of‘Legally Blonde Junior’ and now the excitement is building as we approach the show dates. Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, Legally Blonde The Musical is a fabulously fun journey of
self-empowerment and expanding horizons. The show’s instantly recognisable songs are filled with humor, wit and sass – leaving cast members and audiences alike seeing pink!
Legally Blonde Junior follows the transformation of Elle Woods (played by Essie Stone) as she tackles
stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle’s high school boyfriend,
Warner (played by Ryan Tozer), dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she’s not “serious” enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett (played by Reece Fletcher), and quirky hairdresser, Paulette (played by Ellie McNulty, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren’t mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realises that law may be her natural calling after all.
Legally Blonde Junior features large, energetic dance numbers, some fabulous songs and some great
comic moments. The performances take place on Thursday the 18 and Friday 19 of January at 7pm in the main hall. Tickets are on sale from main reception adults £3, student/child £1:50 and a family of two adults and two children is £8.00
