The Curriculum

Our curriculum provides a broad and balanced educational experience for our students.  We aim to provide all students with the highest standards of teaching and learning, alongside opportunities for personalised learning and give them encouragement to help them achieve their potential within a supportive, caring and disciplined environment.

Please click on the individual subjects to find out more about what your child will be learning in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.  We hope you find this information about subjects useful.

Please follow the separate links for Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 which will show  you the overview of the different subjects that students will study as they move through the school including when they make option choices.

It will also demonstrate how the subjects are grouped together into areas of learning in Years 7 and 8 where some subjects are taught in set ability groups and some are taught in mixed ability groups.

If you have any questions about the curriculum at the Sir John Colfox School please do not hesitate to contact David Herbert who has responsibility for this area or by contacting the office.

We hope you find this information useful.
