At the beginning of November many were amazed by a spectacular performance of Oliver! by the Sir John Colfox Academy. The play follows an adventurous young boy, Oliver (Ryan Williams), trying to survive in Victorian Britain, from the workhouse to the streets of London. To read more click here

GCSE Results improved yet again at the Sir John Colfox Academy

Students at the Sir John Colfox Academy are celebrating a successful year.  Results overall in the school improved for the third year running at a time when National results are declining. Click here for the results

Superb A Level Results

The Sir John Colfox Academy are celebrating superb A level results with a 100% pass rate.  Almost a third of all the grades were A* or A (31%) and over a half (52%) were A*,A or B.  79% of the grades were A*-C. To read more please click here

Sir John Colfox Becomes An Academy

The Sir John Colfox School officially became an Academy at the beginning of April.  The process was more complicated as the school was the first PFI school to be built in the country and this delayed the conversion. To read more please click here


St Catherine’s Crowned Area Quad Kids Winners!


St Catherine’s were this year’s winners of the Bridport and Beaminster area Quad Kids athletics competition.  12 teams battled it out at the Sir John Colfox Academy on a lovely afternoon which was led by school PE staff alongside their young sports leaders.  To read more please click here


Colfox at the Forefront of Innovative Pilot Project

This year the Sir John Colfox Academy has been at the forefront of an exciting and innovative pilot project called the Edge. The PiXL Edge is a framework to develop and accredit students with those personal attributes essential for employability and life and focuses on five key skills which are leadership, organisation, initiative, resilience, communication. Rowing To Success
